Let’s keep it simple. No pitches, no longwinded letters. We want to see your sequential storytelling skills.

WRITERS: Submit 2 to 3 samples of your work. These could be fully made comics or comic scripts. (Professionalism counts: PDFs and proper comic format scripts only - click here for Fred Van Lente’s widely used template.) If you have a website, please include it.

ARTISTS/LETTERERS/COLORISTS: Send samples of your sequential artwork. Portfolios strongly suggested. (Professionalism counts: If PDF, at least 300 DPI.) If you have a website please include it.

GOOGLE DOC LINKS ARE FINE SO LONG AS YOU’VE ALREADY GIVEN US PERMISSION TO VIEW. WE WILL NOT REACH OUT TO REQUEST PERMISSION.

Note: Paired teams will be given a LETTERER or COLORIST as available. Neither are guaranteed per paired team.

All selected applicants will be given the anthology’s SUPER-SECRET THEME, a story prompt from another team and three months to make a killer 4-10 page, all-original short comic to be featured in Fugitive Poems third anthology, CONTAINMENT BREACH, VOLUME 3.

FUGITIVE POEMS is now ACCEPTING CREATOR APPLICATIONS for Volume 3 of our Containment Breach anthology series.

CONTAINMENT BREACH, VOL. 3 will feature wholly original work from 10-15 comic teams. You may apply as any of the following: writer, artist, letterer, colorist, one-person team or multi-member team. We will joyfully pair writers and artists selected individually. Accepted teams will remain as such.

The anthology’s SUPER-SECRET THEME will be revealed to accepted creators.

Containment Breach, Volume 2: Myth Reborn was a huge Kickstarter hit, fully-funding in 36 hours and finishing at 177% funding. Both Volumes 1 and 2 are available in comic shops around the U.S.

Creators will maintain full ownership of their comics.

Please note, THIS IS NOT A PAID GIG, but IT IS A PUBLISHED ONE. CONTAINMENT BREACH, VOLUME 3 will be a KICKSTARTER release.
